Welcome to our premier website, we are glad you are here and would like to introduce you to East Africa Policy Institute, an institution designed to explore solutions to regional policy issues by providing news and analysis on relevant topics in order to connect, educate, and collaborate with individuals and entities interested in finding sound solutions for regional problems.

The Institute will serve as a focal point that will provide an environment conducive to vigorous debate, research and analysis that is geared to develop practical policy initiatives for governments and global institutions. We aim to also highlight and celebrate the spirit of what it means to be a Somali, we encourage our readers to share their thoughts and contribute to the ongoing debate in a positive manner and offer possible solutions to improve current dire conditions in the region.

SOMALILAND AMERICAN COUNCIL (SAC)

Somaliland American Council (SAC) is a chapter of East Africa Policy Institute www.eastafricapi.com that advocates for building close relationship between the people of the United States and the people of Somaliland for their mutual benefit. SAC promotes democracy, governance, and human rights in Somaliland.

SAC advocates for the interest of the Somaliland American Communities in the United States; promotes interaction between Somaliland American communities in different states, coordinates their efforts, and provides networking opportunities between them.

SAC also promotes connections between Somaliland American communities in the USA and the people in Somaliland by organizing cultural events, conference calls, and events that encourage Somaliland Americans to stay in touch and give back to their motherland.
